Bernard and Nelda Haag Scholarship Guidelines

Available through the McCook Community Foundation Fund

A $1,000 scholarship is available annually to residents of Red Willow, Furnas, Frontier, Hayes and Hitchcock counties. Each applicant must be entering or currently attending an accredited school of higher education.

The Haag scholarship is based on applicants extracurricular activities, leadership, work/volunteer experience, personal essay and financial need.

Application forms are available from area high school guidance counselor’s offices, McCook Community College Financial Aid Office or email foundation@mccookne.org to request an application. The application form is also available on this website.

Mail your completed application to: McCook Community Foundation Fund, PO Box 36, McCook, NE 69001 by March 1st. The Foundation Scholarship Committee will evaluate the applications immediately thereafter, notifying all applicants no later than May 1st. Please no staples or binders with your application.
